PANTHERS HOST SPECIAL OLYMPICS DAY

6/14/25 The KC Panthers held its first ever Missouri Special Olympics Day as they took on the Wichita Kansas Diamondbacks.  The KC Panthers defeated the Diamondbacks by the score of 36 - 6.  What a fun afternoon to meet and hang out with some of the great SOMO athletes and staff while getting the big W!   Special Olympics athletes got to hit the field and run through warmups with the team and performed the coin toss before wishing the team good luck.   The SOMO KC Cheer squad got the stadium hyped during halftime before Some of their flag football athletes took to the field. and the game MVP was found in Shyanne Pyatt (you rock!). After the game, the Special Olympic athletes got to be in the breakdown huddle.   35 athletes received  new jerseys from the Panthers and our players eagerly signed them. A HUGE thank you to the Special Olympics Missouri staff, athletes, fans and supporters  for coming out and being a part of our team for the day.     On behalf of the KC Panthers organization, It was truly an honor to serve and celebrate the day with you all!
